 AI or betterly known as artificial intelligence is a popular buzzing word you would have probably heard, in day to day life. In todays time you would have heard of many topics related to AI like robots, technology, smart appliances and many more. But what does AI actually mean, is what we are going to understand in todays article. So let's begin.

What is AI ?

    The artificial intelligence or AI can be defined as the development of the computer programs that are able solve the problems and can perform the tasks that will usually require human intelligence. In todays time, all the functions or tasks in your smartphone are based on artificial intelligence. For ex. word translating, voice recognition, visual and decsion making are all things that are carried out through AI. 

    This idea of this type of intelligence came in 1965 where a group of scientists meet up at Dartmouth to discuss about the idea of a computer that can actually think. At that time, they all were not knowing what to call that technology or how it will work. But a spark was generated on working in this field. They started to work on this intelligence, many highs and lows were seen during the development. Some years went like this and now the idea of developing this computer was abandoned and then no work was done on this kind of intelligence. And now in the recent years, the work is done in developing this kind of intelligence and integrating it daily lives.

                                 

How does the AI work ?

Now, after knowing what an artificial technology actually mean, lets know about the underlaying functions in AI. The artificial technology is based on the advanced algorithms. There are many theories and subtopics that we will see now :

Machine learning : 

    The machine learning is mostly a simple or common way to find the different patterns and increase the intelligence of the machine over time. It uses the neural networks to search for the hidden insights the information or data.

Deep learning :

    Deep learning can be said as an element of the machine learning but just with larger sets data sets and more layers. Deep learning uses the huge neural network, taking the benefit of its size to process the large amount of data with many complex patterns.

Cognitive computing :

    The cognitive computing is used for reaching the goal of human - like interaction with the machines. Thinking of the robots that see and listen, and respond accordingly as the human do.

Computer vision :

    In the artificial intelligence, computer vision uses the deep learning and pattern recognition to understand the picture or the video that is taken in real time by the robot and work accordingly.
